Set during the tumultuous UK miners' strike of 1984, this heartwarming, true-story comedy-drama follows a group of gay and lesbian activists in London. Recognizing a shared enemy in Margaret Thatcher's conservative government and police force, they form the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) campaign. When the official union hesitates to accept their funds, LGSM bypasses them to deliver the donations directly to a small Welsh mining village.
