Memories of making love on a Russian train! Most enjoyable. A tender and surprisingly engaging ‘Brief Encounter’ for our time. Wonderful. I loved this film. Very tender after an uncomfortable start. Original. A lot of charm. Great actress. Not at all what I was expecting, so very enjoyable. A Scandinoir with an alternative take! Plenty of suspense and wonderful scenery. A-. Enigmatic, evocative. Did we see the end product? Pity the screen was so dark at times. Brilliant tension in the train. Excellent, at least during 3/4 way through, then it drifted off into a rather soft focus love story. Where were the rock paintings - they would have been washed away by the tide. Taking my wish list for the TransSiberian railway off the list. Murmansk looks very cold. Hope. Very interesting for first 1/2 hour - then turned unbelievable. Why would a reasonably sensible woman go off with such a dubious character - and why did he suddenly turn into a decent human being. And, why didn’t she mind not seeing the carvings? Not very convincing. Murmansk is not on my bucket list. A long cold very uncomfortable film. Strange relationship.
