Sad, profound, reminding us to live on the earth lightly. Acting, yes, and superb editing. Very moving. Beautifully acted. Original! Lots of very effective, very short scenes. Depressing or uplifting? - a bit of both. Beautiful film Wonderful film - slightly too long but beautifully shot and edited. America raw and beautiful even the ugly places are fascinating. Do these people still exist in post Trump America? Divided by hate and divisiveness instead of loyalty and love? Perhaps it was fantasy. I hope not. This was a bit stop/go with camps (and interesting characters) drawing our attention and vying with the glorious landscapes. Very ‘American’. If Ken Loach did a road movie …. Interesting character studies but went on too long leaving me a bit like the landscape - rather flat! Not helped by missing some of the dialogue. A bit slow. She should have taken Dave’s offer. A year in the life of a lonely but resourceful woman. Kept thinking of life in refugee camps.
